Muscat: On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
According to Oman News Agency, during the meeting, the Egyptian minister conveyed greetings and best wishes from the Egyptian leadership to Oman’s leadership, expressing hopes for further progress and prosperity for the Omani people. The minister highlighted the importance placed by the Egyptian leadership on the strong relationship with Oman across various sectors and reviewed regional developments, stressing collaborative efforts to manage their impacts.
HH Sayyid Fahd welcomed the Egyptian minister and his delegation and discussed the strong bilateral relations rooted in the advanced ties between the leadership and peoples of both nations. The meeting addressed mutual interests and exchanged views on efforts to peacefully resolve regional and international disputes to benefit all peoples involved.
In the context of bilateral cooperation, the importance of activating the tasks of the joint committee and enhancing consultations between the two sides on issues of mutual interest was emphasized.
The Egyptian minister praised Oman’s wise and balanced policies and its effective role in supporting efforts toward understanding and positive dialogue among countries to maintain regional security and stability. He stressed the significance of his discussions with Omani officials as a means to enhance joint cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Sultanate of Oman.
