Muscat: A programme to support cybersecurity projects was launched today by the National Centre for Cyber Security at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. The initiative aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the cybersecurity sector.
According to Oman News Agency, the programme is being implemented in cooperation with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Muscat, with partnership from the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development and support from Eshraqa Foundation for Community Development. Running until July 24, the programme is hosted at the Hadatha Centre for Cybersecurity Industry at UTAS.
The initiative targets entrepreneurs and startup owners in Muscat Governorate who are operating in the cybersecurity field. It aims to help these stakeholders develop innovative ideas and transform them into viable commercial projects for local, regional, or global markets. The programme offers a comprehensive training package that covers essential skills such as operational planning, financial management, visual identity development, digital marketing, team management, and employee selection.
Additionally, participants will gain insights into market analysis and learn how to explore economic opportunities and challenges to ensure the sustainability of their projects. This programme underscores the commitment of national institutions to support innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship, aligning with the digital transition goals outlined in Oman Vision 2040.
