Thimphu: King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of the Kingdom of Bhutan received Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, at the Royal Palace in Thimphu.

According to Oman News Agency, the Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the King of Bhutan, along with wishes for his continued good health and wellbeing. He also expressed His Majesty’s hopes for progress and prosperity for the Bhutanese people and emphasized the importance of growing cooperation between Oman and Bhutan.

The King of Bhutan reciprocated by asking the Foreign Minister to relay his sincere sentiments and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan, wishing him ongoing success. He also expressed hopes for further prosperity for the Omani people and the continued development of bilateral relations.

The meeting included several dignitaries, such as Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Sheikh Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large, Essa Saleh Al Sheibani, Oman’s Ambassador to India and non-resident Ambassador to Bhutan, along with officials from the Foreign Ministry.
