A force from the Popular Mobilization Forces overthrew one of those wanted on charges of drug trafficking in Anbar.

Anbar Operations Commander for the PMF, Qasim Musleh, said in a statement to the Popular Mobilization Authority website: “The PMF forces arrested a wanted person in accordance with the drug law, in a controlled ambush, at one of the checkpoints in Anbar Governorate, according to accurate intelligence information.”

Musleh added: “The accused is wanted according to an arrest warrant and has been handed over to the competent authority.”
