Intelligence Agency: Arresting a suspect accused of trafficking in weapons, explosive materials, and forgery in Baghdad

Intelligence Agency detachments arrested a suspect accused of trading in weapons and explosive materials and forging official documents belonging to state departments in Baghdad.

The Agency stated in a statement: “The accused was arrested in a precise ambush, within hours, based on intelligence information, and after investigation and information.”

It added: “When searching the accused’s home, 75 stamps belonging to state institutions, firecrackers, detonators, hand grenades, rifles, pistols, official documents prepared for forgery, and instruments belonging to a bank were seized.”

It continued: “It recorded the statements of the accused, who explicitly admitted to forging official documents, trading in weapons and explosive materials, and his possession of those seized materials. He was referred to the relevant authorities in preparation for his appearance before the court.”
