Second Military Discipline Programme for School Students Begins in Dhofar

Dhofar: The second edition of the Military Discipline Programme commenced today in Dhofar Governorate. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth with support from various military, security, and government institutions. The programme has attracted participation from over 850 students representing different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Oman News Agency, running until 6 August, the programme features lectures on military discipline, first aid, teamwork, leadership techniques, and military sciences, alongside awareness sessions on various social topics. It also includes a range of sports and scouting competitions.

The program incorporates specialized workshops focusing on citizenship, national belonging, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship. These sessions aim to cultivate modern leadership thinking and refine participants’ personal and social skills.

The programme achieved remarkable success in its inaugural edition last year. This year’s edition continues with a broader vision to nurture a generation of Omani youth characterized by awareness, discipline, leadership qualities, and sincere patriotism and loyalty to His Majesty the Sultan.

Wing Commander Hussein Mohammed Al Ajmi, Director of the Military Discipline Programme, emphasized the comprehensive cognitive and behavioral development of participants through integrated activities. He stated that the programme seeks to instill military discipline values, enhance leadership skills, build character, and improve participants’ physical and mental fitness.
