Jeddah: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, have signed a Hajj arrangements agreement for the 1447 AH season. This signing took place in Jeddah and is part of the collaborative efforts to manage the affairs of pilgrims from Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, the agreement underscores the strong ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia and their mutual commitment to streamlining the pilgrimage process for Omani citizens and residents. The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah for Saudi Arabia.
The main objective of the agreement is to oversee the process for Omani pilgrims performing Hajj, ensuring it aligns with the regulations set by Saudi authorities. It highlights the procedures for registering pilgrims on the “Masar” platform, booking camps, securing basic service packages at the Holy Sites, and establishing contracts for essential services such as transportation, accommodation, and catering. Additionally, it details the medical services provided by the Omani Hajj Mission and the coordination of pilgrim movement as per approved plans for their arrival and departure.
