Gold Rises 0.2% in Asian Trading as US Treasury Yields Retreat

Muscat: Gold prices edged higher in early Asian trading today as US Treasury yields retreated from recent highs, while traders awaited the results of the latest Federal Reserve meeting. Spot gold was up 0.2% to $4,342.33 per ounce, after falling nearly 2% on Tuesday.

According to Oman News Agency, US gold futures for December delivery edged 0.6% lower to $4,396.30. Among other metals, spot silver fell 0.5% to $62.99 per ounce. Platinum rose 0.3% to $1,717.03, while palladium lost 0.3% at $1,286.73.
