Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman today participated in the 29th extraordinary meeting of the Committee of GCC Ministers of Transport and Communications, which was conducted via videoconferencing. Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented Oman in the meeting.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the decisions made during the consultative meeting of leaders of the GCC states. Key discussions revolved around the challenges and opportunities present in the transport and logistics sector within the member states.
The ministers also exchanged views on significant projects, including the initiative to connect GCC states through a railway network. Additionally, they discussed other integration projects aimed at enhancing the transport and logistics sector across the GCC region.
