Niamey: Eleven soldiers from Niger’s Defense and Security Forces (FDS) were killed in an attack carried out by an armed group in the north of the country.

According to Oman News Agency, an army patrol was ambushed, resulting in the deaths of 11 soldiers and the injury of others. Northern Niger frequently witnesses attacks by armed groups targeting security forces. The area is also a key transit route for African migrants attempting to reach Europe.
