Civil Defence Authority Reviews Quality Management System in Ambulance Services

Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority recently convened a senior management review meeting focused on the Quality Management System (ISO) at the Directorate General of Ambulance. The meeting was chaired by Maj.Gen Sulaiman Ali Al Husaini, Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, and included officials responsible for the system's implementation within the Authority.

According to Oman News Agency, the meeting covered various topics aimed at improving the efficiency of the quality management system. Discussions focused on enhancing performance levels, elevating the quality of ambulance services, and achieving greater efficiency and sustainability in service delivery.

The gathering reviewed outcomes from the internal audit of the quality management system, identified improvement opportunities, and assessed resource adequacy. The measurement of beneficiary satisfaction, the effectiveness of operational performance, and its indicators were also evaluated, along with the risks, opportunities, challenges, and variables that might impact the system's effectiveness.

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority is committed to enhancing the quality and efficiency of ambulance services by implementing the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This involves strengthening a continuous improvement approach and enhancing institutional performance efficiency.

The meeting is part of preparations for an upcoming external audit phase and continues the Authority's efforts to meet the quality management system's requirements. This initiative aims to boost institutional readiness and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the ambulance services framework.
