The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, revealed an agreement with Baghdad related to the financial dues of Kurdistan.

His media office stated, in a statement, that "Barzani received today, party officials in Akar district in Branch 9 of the Kurdistan Democratic Party."

The media office added, "Barzani held a meeting in Akar district with the participation of martyrs' families, teachers, religious figures, workers, farmers, youth and women."

Barzani stressed that "the regional government is working to serve all regions of the Kurdistan and provide more services to citizens."

With regard to relations between Erbil and Baghdad, Barzani said, "We are continuing our talks with Baghdad, and we expect the implementation of the agreement to protect the rights and financial allocations for the Kurdistan region in accordance with the constitution."
