The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion organized a workshop in Muscat today to discuss proposals for developing the exhibition sector.
The workshop saw the participation of government departments and companies specialized in the exhibition sector.
The workshop discussed the stages of amending the bylaw on organizing and managing exhibitions and related ministerial decisions. It made an overview of exhibitions organized between 2021 and 2023.
The workshop explored new types of expos like specialized, virtual and innovative exhibitions, in addition to similar events showcasing GCC products and industries.
The workshop also dealt with terms and conditions for obtaining license to engage in the exhibition industry. It underscored the significance of activating e-payment and highlighted the economic impact of the exhibition sector.
A discussion session held during the workshop evolved around common challenges posed to the exhibition sector and means of finding solutions to them.
