What Did The Investigation Committee Say Into Hamdaniya Fire…And What Was Its Recommendation?

The investigation committee into Hamdaniya tragedy confirmed that the wedding hall could accommodate only 500 people and it was devoid of emergency doors.

The investigation committee announced that the fire caused the death of 107 people and injured 82 others.

The committee said in a press conference in the presence of Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari that the fire was caused by a fire source that came into contact with highly flammable materials.

The committee explained that the accident was accidental and occurred as a result of negligence, and indicated: “Fireworks were the main cause of the fire.

The investigation committee recommended the victims of the accident to be considered martyrs.

It also recommended dismissing the District mayor and the municipal director.
