The Kurdistan Democratic Bloc calls for documenting the Baath crimes and approving them as genocide

The Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the House of Representatives called for serious work in order to document and approve the crimes of the Baath as genocide at the international level.

The bloc stated in a statement: "We remember today, another crime of Baath party crimes, an occasion and a painful tragedy, committed against the people of Kurdistan in the areas of Bahdinan, which carried with it the displacement, and detachment of tens of thousands of defenseless civilians, the destruction of their villages and their property, and the use of internationally prohibited weapons against them, which left behind Thousands of martyrs and wounded."

The statement added: "This regime, with its heinous, chauvinistic currency, wanted to change the map and demography of Kurdistan and bend the will of its people, through the use of force, injustice, brutality, murder and abuse, as it did in all its previous crimes, but this solid will to survive, liberate and prove the truth, is what has triumphed, because The steadfastness, patience and determination of the leadership and people of Kurdistan to confront the arrogance of the ruling tyrannical regime, as it did in all the situations, tribulations and adversities it faced.

It continued: The Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the House of Representatives calls for serious work to document and approve these crimes, as crimes of genocide at the international level, and to work to make efforts, in order to block the way for the recurrence of such crimes everywhere on the face of the earth. It is keen to ensure that humanity never witnesses such crimes in the future.

The bloc expressed its regret and concern about the failure to implement Article 132 of the Iraqi constitution so far, which relates to compensation and fairness to citizens affected by the crimes of the previous regime, especially the victims of the ill-fated Anfal campaigns, and other crimes committed against the people of Kurdistan whose legitimate rights were robbed and must be returned to them as part of returning the favor to them and redressing the thoughts of the families of the victims and martyrs. ./ End
