Oman, Iran Stress Importance of Leveraging Current Diplomatic Moment in Support of Peace

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received Dr. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament in the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with his delegation and Dr. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, during his official visit to Oman. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and good neighborliness between Oman and Iran and explored ways to develop these relations to serve mutual interests. Discussions also covered regional developments.

According to Oman News Agency, both sides emphasized the need to leverage the current diplomatic moment to support peace efforts and reinforce de-escalation and stability. They highlighted the importance of adhering to international law and good-neighborly relations to protect regional security and ensure the safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and international shipping lanes.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry, Ali Bagheri, Deputy for International Affairs at the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, and several officials from both sides.
