The Federal Police Contributes To Securing The Visit Of Imam Hassan Al-Askari

The Ministry of Interior announced, today, Sunday, that federal police units are contributing to securing the visit of the Imam al-Hassan al-Askari, peace be upon him.

The Ministry said in a statement: “Under the guidance of the Minister of the Interior and the follow-up of the Commander of the Federal Police Forces, the units of the Fourth Division within the sectors of responsibility in Samarra achieved their security deployment by mobilizing all efforts and energies to ensure the protection of visitors arriving to the shrine of the two Imams Al-Askari (peace be upon them) on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Al-Askari.”

Major General Fakher Deir Ali, Commander of the Fourth Division, said that enhancing the deployment of the units comes within the security plan to secure the visitors’ route through the central checkpoint of the entrance to the holy city of Samarra.”

The division commander stressed, according to the statement, taking measures to carefully inspect vehicles and people, exerting the utmost efforts to impose security and protect visitors, and intensifying the intelligence effort to prevent any security breach, in addition to contributing to providing means of transportation for humanitarian cases and providing medical services and awareness-raising guidance in coordination with the leadership’s relations and media, which warns of rumors and combating them.”
