The Anti-Crime Directorate announced the arrest of an accused of blackmailing a girl and bargaining with her for a sum of money and others in various criminal cases in theft and forgery in Baghdad.
A statement by the Directorate stated: "The detachments of Al-Taji Office for Combating Crime arrested an accused of blackmailing a girl and threatening her to publish her private pictures on social media and bargaining with her for a sum of money amounting to" 500 US dollars "in exchange for not publishing, as the accused statements were recorded and the confession was judicially approved, and legal measures were taken against him in accordance with the provisions of Article 430 of the Penal Code.
The statement added that the Directorate's detachments carried out other judicial arrest warrants against a number of suspects and wanted persons in various criminal cases, including theft, forgery, and theft of motorcycles and tik-tok bikes.
