Cape canaveral: American aerospace company SpaceX has launched three communications satellites belonging to SES into orbit around Earth.

According to Oman News Agency, SpaceX announced that a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, carrying the three satellites of the O3b mPOWER constellation to medium Earth orbit (MEO). The company highlighted that the rocket's first stage made a successful return to Earth, landing in the Atlantic Ocean aboard an uncrewed drone ship, while the upper stage continued on its trajectory, successfully deploying the three satellites as scheduled.

Each of the O3b mPOWER satellites weighs approximately 3,750 pounds (1,700 kilogrammes). SpaceX has been responsible for launching all of these satellites over the course of six Falcon 9 missions, which began in December 2022. This recent deployment marks SpaceX's 107th orbital mission this year, with 105 launches conducted by Falcon 9 and two by Falcon Heavy.
