A false report caused the suspension of Friday prayers in a mosque in the US capital, Washington.

The American Al-Hurra website stated that the DC Police (Washington) went to the Muhammad Mosque and ordered to stop Friday prayers and expel the worshipers, after receiving an anonymous tip that there was a bomb in the mosque.

Police officers cordoned off the mosque and closed the surrounding roads, coinciding with the arrival of explosives experts to search for the reported bomb.

The live broadcast of the Friday prayer, which the mosque officials usually broadcast on their pages on social media, was interrupted, while the camera remained directed towards the imam standing, while the mosque seemed empty of worshipers.
