Muscat:The Ministry of Interior has announced the preliminary lists of candidates for the fourth term Municipal Council elections. A total of 803 candidates, including 16 women, have been listed on the "Intikhab" application and the elections website.

According to Oman News Agency, the Ministry stated that objections to the preliminary lists can be filed through a request on the "Intikhab" application or the elections website within five days from the announcement date. The objection must include the grounds for the claim and any supporting documents.

These requests will be reviewed and adjudicated within ten days following the expiration of the submission period.
