Muscat: The Omani-French Joint Business Council convened at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry headquarters to evaluate joint investment opportunities and outline a future work plan aimed at bolstering economic cooperation between the private sectors in Oman and France.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting included Nabil Hajlaoui, the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, and was led by Jameel Ali Sultan, Head of the Omani Side of the Council. The council discussed its strategic objectives, governance rules, resource requirements, and planned events relevant to its activities.
Nabil Hajlaoui emphasized the meeting’s significance in fortifying economic ties between Oman and France. He highlighted the embassy’s role in supporting French companies interested in the Omani market while encouraging Omani enterprises to explore opportunities in France, leveraging its advanced expertise and technologies. He expressed optimism about transforming economic relations into practical partnerships and tangible projects that will benefit both countries.
Jameel Ali Sultan stated that the meeting marked a continuation of the productive collaboration between Oman and France. He underscored the importance of establishing clear strategic goals, enhancing governance mechanisms, and identifying economic events that will further develop commercial and investment relations between the two nations.
