Geneva:The Sultanate of Oman has taken part in the 27th session of the General Assembly of the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO), which commenced today at the Geneva International Conference Centre.

According to Oman News Agency, the Omani delegation is being led by Maj. Gen Sulaiman Ali Al Hussaini, Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority. This participation underscores Oman's commitment to fostering international collaboration in civil defence, emergency response, and disaster management.

Idris Abdulrahman Al Khanjari, the Permanent Representative of Oman to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, also attended the session, accompanied by several officials from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
