Oman and Belarus Hold Talks on Agricultural and Water Resource Cooperation

Minsk: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus engaged in a round of talks in Minsk on the sidelines of the 'Belagro 2026' international exhibition. The discussions were centered around enhancing cooperation in agriculture, livestock, and water resources.

According to Oman News Agency, the session was led by Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Oman's Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Maxim Ryzhenkov, Belarus's Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Hamoud bin Salim Al Tuwaih, Oman's Ambassador to the Russian Federation and non-resident Ambassador to Belarus.

Both nations emphasized the significance of expanding partnerships through agreements and memoranda of understanding to achieve food security and sustainability. The discussions included exploring modern agricultural technologies, managing water resources, and promoting investment and innovation in the agricultural and livestock sectors.
