Cairo: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) participated in the 137th Extraordinary Session of the Union of Arab Chambers Council, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. The session addressed a number of issues related to trade, energy, and global supply chains, as well as the associated rises in transport and insurance costs and commodity prices.
According to Oman News Agency, before the Union of Arab Chambers Council, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry affirmed the importance of strengthening the role of the Arab private sector in addressing current economic challenges, thereby contributing to supporting economic stability and stimulating sustainable growth in Arab countries.
Rashid Amer Al Musalhi, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Head of the Chamber's delegation, presented a working paper entitled "Arab Economic Foresight Led by the Private Sector Amid Regional Transformations and Their Economic Repercussions."
The session witnessed broad participation from heads and representatives of Arab chambers of commerce, who discussed the most prominent economic challenges in light of regional and international changes.
