The President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Chairman of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayyad Al-Lami, discussed with the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, ways to develop cultural and media relations between the two countries.
Al-Lami, after receiving the Iranian ambassador at the headquarters of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate today Monday, gave an explanation about the nature of the work of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and its branches in the governorates and its continuous communication with media institutions and journalists.
Al-Lami expressed his happiness for the developed media and press relations between Iraq and Iran, in a way that serves the common interests of both countries.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador said: "The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate occupies a distinguished place at the local and regional levels, and that the Iraqi media plays an active role in conveying facts to public opinion and contributes to strengthening ways to develop cultural and media relations and to bring points of view closer in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries."
He expressed his admiration for the person of the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate who works diligently and sincerely to advance media and journalistic work in Iraq and his constant endeavor to build advanced media relations and exchange experiences with media institutions and journalists outside Iraq.
