Kingdom of Bahrain Celebrates National Day and Leadership Anniversary

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain will celebrate tomorrow its 54th National Day and the 26th anniversary of King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa assuming power, a significant event held annually on December 16.

According to Oman News Agency, the Kingdom of Bahrain is commemorating this occasion amidst notable developmental achievements and a modern renaissance under King Hamad’s leadership. The celebration also highlights the evolving Omani-Bahraini relations, which continue to thrive based on a shared historical legacy and a leadership vision that fosters cooperation and integration.

Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of Bahrain to Oman, emphasized that the Kingdom’s comprehensive development journey represents a milestone in its civilization history, showcasing an exceptional model for growth. This includes economic growth, financial stability, and sustainable development. The National Days celebration is seen as an opportunity to express loyalty to the leadership and pride in these achievements.

dor further noted Bahrain’s balanced foreign policy approach, which is grounded in cooperation and moderation, promoting dialogue, human coexistence, international cooperation, and sustainable peace. This approach is key to enhancing Bahrain’s international standing, alongside efforts in human rights, freedoms, and environmental preservation.

The Kingdom’s achievements in 2025 were highlighted by the Ambassador, with a 2.5% GDP growth and advancements in education, energy, logistics, and sustainable development. Bahrain’s ranking in the Communications and Technology Index improved significantly, securing the fifth position among Arab countries.

Bahrain’s strides towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are evident through flexible policies, strategic partnerships, and investment in human capital, which accelerate progress toward these goals.

The Ambassador praised the deep-rooted historical ties between Bahrain and Oman, tracing back to the civilizations of Dilmun and Magan. These relations h
ave expanded across political, economic, social, and cultural dimensions, supported by the leadership of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Hamad.

Economic relations between Bahrain and Oman are flourishing, with trade exceeding USD 1.4 billion and Bahraini investments in Oman reaching approximately USD 1.250 billion. Numerous partnerships and investment activities underscore the robust economic ties, with 876 Bahraini companies operating in Oman and 1,200 investment licenses granted to Bahraini citizens.

Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi expressed optimism for further growth and prosperity in the forthcoming phase across various developmental fields.
