King of Bahrain Visits Royal Opera House Muscat

Muscat: King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain visited the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) as part of his state visit to the Sultanate of Oman. During his visit, King Hamad toured the ROHM and received a briefing on its facilities, the nature of its performances, its seasons, and its annual program. He observed that ROHM is equipped with the latest technology used in international musical shows.

According to Oman News Agency, King Hamad was informed about the architectural features of ROHM, which highlights Omani architectural heritage blended with various architectural styles from around the world. The visit also included a special musical performance by the Jazz Band of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and the RGO’s Second Battalion’s bagpipes and drums troupe.

At the conclusion of his visit, King Hamad signed the Visitors Book, expressing his pleasure in visiting ROHM, which he described as a true representation of Oman’s art and culture. He remarked on ROHM as a symbol of Oman’s advanced cultural identity, rich in both culture and innovation.

King Hamad emphasized the role of culture and arts as a bridge connecting generations and enhancing understanding among people from different cultures. He was accompanied during his visit by Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior and Head of the Mission of Honour, along with members of the Board of Directors of the Royal Opera House Muscat and his official delegation.
