Iraq Hosts The 21st Edition Of The General Assembly of the Arab Network for Human Rights

Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights, President of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions, announced that Iraq will chair the 21st session of the Network's General Assembly, next year.

Khattab spoke during the conference of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions and its 20th General Assembly today, Saturday, in Cairo, which witnessed Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights, receiving the presidency of the Network by Ahmed Salem Bouhabini, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission in Mauritania, President of the previous General Assembly.

The network is confident that Iraq will play a major role in this regard during its presidency next year of the network.

Over the course of two days, the network conference will discuss the challenges facing national human rights institutions in order to determine priorities and needs and strengthen the role of international and regional networks and organizations to support national human rights institutions.
