The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, discussed with the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al-Sadiq, ways to support the Ministry's work, especially for the weak and fragile groups, through the services and privileges it provides to them.
According to a statement by the Ministry today, the two sides discussed organizing joint work in accordance with Iraqi laws and legislation and in a way that serves the sectors sponsored by the Ministry.
According to the statement, "During the meeting, which was held today, Thursday, they discussed regulating the presence of Iranian expatriate workers in Iraq in accordance with memorandums of understanding in harmony with Iraqi laws and legislation regarding social security, activating joint committees, and achieving the Ministry's endeavors towards optimal targeting of caring for its segments."
For his part, the Iranian Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the outcomes of the meeting and his willingness to open horizons of joint cooperation with the Ministry and provide everything that serves the segments that come under the umbrella of the Ministry's auspices, pointing out that the Iranian side is keen on continuing joint coordination and exchanging experiences between the two sides.
