Head of the Political Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Haider Sultan, met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Baghdad, Cui Wei.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "The Head of the Political Planning Department congratulated the Chinese Ambassador on the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Iraqi-Chinese relations, wishing for more cooperation in all fields between the two friendly countries."

The statement added: "During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of joint cooperation in terms of exchanging experiences at all levels, as well as cooperation between the Political Planning Department and its Chinese counterpart and cooperation in the field of cultural diplomacy."
