The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired this evening, Tuesday, upon his arrival in the holy city of Karbala, a meeting to follow up the implementation of the service and security plan for the visit on the occasion of the commemoration of the fortieth of Imam Hussein and his companions (peace be upon them), in the presence of Ministers; Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee for visitation, health and electricity, Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Million Visits, and Governor of Holy Karbala.
Al-Sudani stressed that the great exceptional effort exerted by all departments, institutions and formations of the state and the executive agencies, with their various specializations, names and roles, has been developed and coordinated within a clear plan, which was drawn and prepared for early within broad proactive preparations.
The Prime Minister also indicated that the state has harnessed all its capabilities in order to provide service to citizens everywhere, and in all circumstances.
Al-Sudani praised the dedicated role played by our security forces of all kinds, and all state departments with their employees and affiliates, recommending the continuation of the same determination and continuous giving, to complete the visit ceremonies until the return of the last visitor in a smooth and flowing manner.
He appreciated the role played by citizens from all the provinces of Iraq, and the Husseini processions held along the roads of the visitors to the center of the holy city of Karbala, and the essential role they play in making the visit a success, caring for the visitors, and providing them with means of comfort.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on a detailed presentation of the aspects of the plans that were presented, in the field of transport management, health care, and aspects related to the provision of electricity and fuel, by the concerned ministers and officials.
He directed to follow up and secure the service items, work to prepare all requirements according to the drawn needs, and prepare for emergency needs in all aspects of the visit ceremonies.
The meeting also witnessed a discussion of the strategic plans that the Standing Committee will implement during the upcoming visits.
