Ten players of a popular football team in Diyala were injured in a traffic accident, northeast of Baquba.

Member of the Football Sub-Confederation, Latif Khalaf, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that ten injuries occurred among the ranks of the popular Al-Mawaddah football team in a traffic accident caused by their vehicle overturning on the Baquba-Al-Muqdadiya road, northeast of Baquba, while they were going to play a friendly match with one of the popular teams in the endowment basin.

He added that the players' injuries are not serious, and medical treatments were provided to the injured after they were transferred to Muqdadiya General Hospital.
