Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, on the death of Sheikh Sabah Jaber Fahad Al Malik Al Sabah. In his message, His Majesty extended his sincere sympathies and heartfelt sentiments to Sheikh Mishal and the Al Sabah family. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the deceased soul in peace in paradise and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik also sent a cable of condolences to President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons of the Republic of Suriname on the death of the former president, Ronald Venetiaan. His Majesty expressed his sincere sympathies to President Jennifer and the people of her country.
