Madrid: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Pedro S¡nchez, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, held a bilateral meeting at the Moncloa Palace in Madrid, marking a significant event during His Majesty’s visit to Spain. The discussions focused on the historical relations between Oman and Spain and explored avenues for enhancing these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was followed by an expanded official session of talks, attended by both Omani and Spanish delegations. The talks emphasized the importance of broadening the scope of partnership and investment, particularly in the sectors of energy, renewable energy, logistics, food security, manufacturing, aquaculture, and agricultural production. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to supporting cultural and educational exchange to fulfill the strategic aspirations of both nations.
Prior to the session, His Majesty the Sultan and the Prime Minister participated in a commemorative photo session. His Majesty also inscribed a message in the Distinguished Visitors’ Book, marking the significance of the occasion.
