Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Republic of Philippines on victims of typhoon Kalmaegi which struck the central region of the Philippines. In the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sympathies. His Majesty also prayed to Allah the Almighty to safeguard this friendly country and all the countries of the world from incidents and calamities, so that peoples may enjoy safety and tranquility.

According to Oman News Agency, the Sultan’s message conveyed heartfelt condolences to those affected by the devastating typhoon. The expression of support and solidarity underscored the longstanding relations between Oman and the Philippines. His Majesty’s message also highlighted a universal hope for global peace and safety amidst natural disasters.
