Hanoi:The Healthcare Management and Organization Committee held its second meeting of 2026, chaired by Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health. The meeting focused on advancing the health system and enhancing integration among its various components.
According to Oman News Agency, the committee reviewed the Unified National Platform for the Professional Registration and Licensing of Health Practitioners. This project aims to standardize procedures and standards across relevant health sectors and develop accreditation mechanisms to improve efficiency, readiness, and professional practices.
The committee also discussed a healthcare model presentation that highlighted executive pillars and development tracks for health, preventive, and therapeutic services. This initiative aims to improve service quality and enhance the beneficiary's experience while supporting Oman's goal for an integrated and sustainable health system as per Oman Vision 2040.
As part of efforts to enhance specialized care integration, the committee explored a unified national pathway for cancer patient referrals and treatment protocols. This initiative seeks to streamline referral procedures across health institutions, reduce timeframes for accessing specialized services, and ensure consistency in therapeutic practices, thereby improving care quality and continuity.
The committee also addressed several administrative and organizational topics on its agenda, making necessary decisions and recommendations to strengthen the integration of health institutions and improve the efficiency of healthcare management and organization in Oman.
