Baghdad, Federal Police Command forces freed a kidnapped man and arrested his kidnappers southeast of the capital, Baghdad.

The Command stated in a statement today that a force from the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, Federal Police, in cooperation with the brigade’s intelligence detachments, was able to arrest a kidnapping gang consisting of 3 suspects and free a kidnapped person. The arrest came after information was received about the existence of a kidnapping case in the “Nahrawan- Al-Duwanim” area, east of Baghdad, as a result of which a joint security team was formed, and after cordoning off the area, setting up temporary checkpoints and ambushes, and monitoring their movements through surveillance cameras, it resulted in their arrest in a record period of time.
