Environment Authority in North Al Batinah Organizes Forum on Protecting Ecosystems

Sohar: The Environment Authority's department in North Al Batinah Governorate today organized a forum focused on protecting ecosystems and promoting compliance with legal regulations governing industrial activities. The event saw the participation of academics and representatives from the industrial sector within the governorate.

According to Oman News Agency, the forum featured a panel discussion that explored proposals for devising appropriate solutions to maintain ecosystem sustainability. The discussion also addressed the threats posed to ecosystems and considered ways to streamline industrial activities. This includes transitioning to the use of clean energy, reducing carbon emissions, and preventing the illegal discharge of waste into the marine environment.

The forum was held under the auspices of Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Hinai, Wali of Sohar.
