Al-Salhi Warns Against Not Checking The Voter Registry In Kirkuk

Kirkuk -The MP Arshad Al-Salhi, head of the Turkmen parliamentary bloc, warned against not checking the voter registry in Kirkuk.

He said in a statement, clarifying the issues related to the Kirkuk Provincial Council elections, we stress once again that success in holding these elections and ensuring their integrity and justice depends on auditing the voter register.

He explained that this audit is necessary to uncover fraud and manipulation in the registration of thousands of families who were brought from other governorates.

He said that Kirkuk Governorate has witnessed significant demographic change over the years, so we call on the Independent High Electoral Commission to clarify its position and procedures regarding auditing this fraudulent electoral register.

He continued, “We tell public opinion that we will work to mobilize all legal and public means if the Commission does not carry out the audit.”

He stated that Kirkuk is a sensitive governorate, and any attempt to ignore the will of any component there will have dire consequences, and we hope for cooperation in work and transparency in order to achieve fair and impartial elections that reflect the will of the people of Kirkuk Governorate with all their components.
