Baghdad -Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and a delegation of the Iranian Shura Council, headed by Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee, Ibrahim Azizi, stressed the necessity of stopping the war on the Gaza Strip.

Al-Halbousi’s media office stated in a statement: “The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and a number of topics of common interest, noting that Al-Halbousi received a message of the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf.”

The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation between the Iraqi Parliament and the Iranian Shura Council on issues of concern to the Islamic community, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, solidarity and standing with the Palestinian people, and working on the necessity of stopping the war on the Gaza Strip.
