13 Iraqi Universities Achieve Competitive Positions In The Times World Classification

Baghdad - Thirteen Iraqi universities achieved competitive results in the Times World Classification of Subjects in its new edition for the year 2024.

The Ministry of Higher Education stated in a statement, “The results of the classification showed that the universities of Baghdad, Babylon, Kufa, Mosul, and Al-Mustansiriya obtained important positions in the specialty of medicine and health sciences (Clinical and Health), while the universities of Anbar, Mosul, Baghdad, Basra, Kufa, and Al-Mustansiriya achieved positive positions in the specialty of life sciences.”

The Ministry added, "In the engineering specialty, the universities of Al-Nahrain, Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Anbar, Babylon, Diyala, Technology, Baghdad, Basra, Karbala, the Central Technical University, Mosul, and Al-Mustansiriya achieved important positions."

The universities of Al-Qadisiyah, Babylon, Technology, Al-Nahrain, Diyala, Anbar, Baghdad, Basra, Karbala, Kufa, Mosul, and Al-Mustansiriya achieved their competitive positions in the field of physical sciences, while the universities of Al-Nahrain, Al-Anbar, Babylon, Baghdad, Kufa, the Central Technical University, Mosul, the University of Technology, Basra, and Al-Mustansiriya obtained index positions in the field of computer science.

It is noteworthy that Iraq achieved 37th place in the world in the Times University Rankings for the year 2024 through the registration of Iraqi universities competing and their presence in the classification in which 2,024 universities from 108 countries around the world compete according to evaluation indicators in the fields of teaching, research environment, quality of research, international look, and industry income.
