About 82% of Dualization of Road from Gas Roundabout to Bilad Sur Roundabout Completed

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology affirmed that 82 percent of a project to dualize the road from the Gas Roundabout to Bilad Sur Roundabout, in South A'Sharqiyah Governorate, has been completed.

According to Oman News Agency, the project is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and enhance traffic safety in the Governorate. The dualization work aims to improve connectivity and ensure smoother traffic flow in the region, which is crucial for reducing travel time and minimizing congestion.

The road project connects the Qurayyat-Sur Road with the Sultan Turki bin Said Road, previously known as A'Sharqiyah Road. This connection is expected to provide a significant boost to the local transportation network, facilitating easier access across key routes in the area.

Earlier, the ministry opened the first part of the project, spanning 11.4 km, to traffic. This development has already led to improved traffic safety along this vital part of the carriageway, showcasing the project's potential to enhance road safety and efficiency.
