Baghdad The Ministry of Interior announced, today, Friday, the arrest of (73) wanted persons in Wasit Governorate.

The Ministry said in a statement: “Wasit police formations continue to conduct security practices throughout the governorate with the aim of searching for outlaws and pursuing people wanted by the judiciary, which included deploying detachments, setting up checkpoints, and verifying the names of wanted persons, in order to establish security in the governorate, where it resulted in the arrest of (65) wanted persons according to various legal articles.”

On the other hand, according to the statement, the detachments of the Wasit Traffic Directorate were able to impose (238) traffic fines for vehicles violating the regulations and laws, while the arrested persons were referred to the competent security centers./End
