The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of respecting and implementing agreements and treaties concluded between Iraq and Kuwait in accordance with constitutional contexts.
The judiciary stated, in a statement, that “Zaidan received Tariq Al-Faraj, the Kuwaiti ambassador to Iraq, to discuss cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the judicial field.”
According to the statement, during the meeting, Zaidan stressed “Iraq’s respect for the State of Kuwait in its history, present and future, and the independence of the State of Kuwait through the various historical stages, as well as emphasizing the depth of the relationship between the two brotherly peoples and Iraq’s appreciation for the honorable positions of the State of Kuwait in helping Iraq get rid of the dictatorial regime.”
The President of the Council stressed "the importance of respecting and implementing the agreements and treaties concluded between Iraq and Kuwait in accordance with the constitutional and legal contexts and respecting the implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions."
