West bank: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has reported that more than 12,000 Palestinian children are currently living in a state of forced displacement in the West Bank. This situation arises due to Israel's ongoing military operation in the northern governorates. According to Oman News Agency, the Israeli occupation army has been conducting a military operation dubbed 'Iron Wall' since January 21, 2025. This operation began in the Jenin refugee camp and later extended to the Nur Shams and Tulkarm refugee camps. UNRWA communicated through its X social media platform account that over 12,000 children are forcibly displaced in the occupied West Bank. In response to this crisis, the agency launched an emergency education program in February 2025 for the displaced children in the North West Bank. This initiative aims to ensure the continuity of their education through the provision of temporary learning spaces, online teaching, distribution of self-learning materials , and psycho-social support. UNRWA further noted that approximately 48,000 Palestinian children are enrolled in its schools in the West Bank. Since the conflict in the Gaza Strip erupted on October 7, 2023, lasting two years, there has been an escalation in the Israeli army and settlers' activities in the West Bank. These activities include the killing of Palestinian civilians, demolition of homes, displacement of residents, and expansion of settlement construction.
