Muscat: The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has monitored activities by Israeli occupation forces inside Lebanese territory, alongside the continuation of restrictions imposed on the freedom of movement of peacekeeping forces. According to Oman News Agency, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Farhan Haq explained that peacekeeping forces monitored, during the period from Thursday to Sunday, Israeli drones in the vicinity of the Mansouri area, noting that at least 32 airstrikes were recorded inside UNIFIL's area of operations during the same period. He affirmed that UNIFIL continues, despite the security situation, to support humanitarian efforts, explaining that it facilitated 16 humanitarian missions on Thursday and Friday through its liaison branch, in coordination with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), all of them in the western sector.
