Baghdad - The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security, affiliated with the Ministry of Defense, announced today, Thursday, the overthrow of two persons wanted by the judiciary on charges of terrorism and antiquities trade in Baghdad.
The directorate said in a statement: “Detachments of Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense, were able to arrest two persons wanted by the judiciary on charges of terrorism and antiquities trade in Taji district and Saydiya area in Baghdad. Two arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Articles 1/4, Terrorism and 44. antiquities".
It added, "An antique painting and seals were seized from the possession of one of them. The seized items were confiscated and the accused were referred to the competent investigative authorities to complete the necessary procedures against them."
