Muscat: As many as 29 clubs have affirmed their keenness to participate in Oman Handball Association's 2026/2027 sports season, which includes 8 competitions. According to Oman News Agency, key clubs that will contest top titles include Al Ittihad, Oman Club, Muscat, Masirah, Al Tali'aa, Nizwa, Al Salam, Al Nasr, Al Amerat, Al Mussanaa, Qurayyat, Majees, A'Seeb, Al Suwaiq, A'Rustaq, Sohar, Mirbat, Ahli Sadab, Al Orouba, Al Khaboura, Al Shabab, Saham, Salalah, Al Nahda, Khasab, Taqah, Dhofar, Ibri, and Al Bashay'ir. Oman Handball Association has allowed each club to register two foreign players. The first registration period for first division clubs will run from 4 October to 5 November 2026, while the second period will run from January 3 to 14, 2027. As for second division clubs, they will begin registering their players on 4 October 2026. The registration of Omani players will continue until the end of the sports season, in accordance with regulations. The registration of foreign players will close on 19 November 2026.
