Turkish satellite / Turksat 6A / settles in its final orbit at an altitude of 35 thousand kilometers

Istanbul, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacir, announced that the Turkish satellite / Turksat 6A / has reached its final circular orbit at an altitude of 35 thousand kilometers.

Fatih Kacir said in a press statement that Turksat 6A has now settled into a circular orbit at an altitude of 35,786 kilometers, which is the orbit of its last mission, and that with this achievement, Turkey has become one of the 11 countries that can produce its own communications satellite.

Turksat 6A was built by more than 80% Turkish engineers at USET, a subsidiary of TAI.

Turksat 6A will be able to provide service to areas that are not served by current Turkish satellites, such as India, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Thus, the population reached by the satellites will increase from 3.5 billion to 5 billion, and it is expected that Turkish satellite service exports will increase.
